Top News Channel`s in India 2020.

Republic TV is a free-to-air Indian right-wing news channel launched in May 2017. It was co-founded by Arnab Go swami and Rajeev Chandrasekhar, before the latter relinquished his stake in May 2019, leaving Go swami the majority stakeholder. Chandrasekhar was an independent legislator from the National Democratic Alliance who later joined the Bhartiya Janata Party and Go swami was the former editor-in-chief of Times Now. The venture was funded primarily by Chandrashekhar through his company Asia net News.

Critical reception has been negative. The channel has been accused of practising biased reporting in favour of the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), and has published fake news supporting the BJP. It has also been convicted of breaching Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and News Broadcasting Standards Authority rules. This, in turn, has led to censure; it has also triggered a high-profile civil defamation case filed by Indian National Congress legislator Shashi Tharoor.

Times Now

The Times Now is a 24-hour English news channel in India owned and operated by The Times Group. The channel launched on 23 January 2006 in partnership with Reuters. It is a pay television throughout India. Until 2016, it was India's most popular and most viewed English news channel. After 2016, the channel has typically ranked as the second most watched English news channel in India.

CNN-News18

CNN-News18 (originally CNN-IBN) is an Indian English-language news television channel founded by Rajdeep Sardesai located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is currently owned by Network 18 and WarnerMedia. CNN provides international coverage for the channel, while Indian Broadcasting Network concentrates on Indian and local reports.

In May 2014, Reliance Industries announced it would be taking over Network18. The move was touted as "the biggest-ever deal in the Indian media space". Reliance Industries already had indirect control of the TV18 network by virtue of investments it made in Network18 starting from January 2012.

India Today

India Today is a weekly Indian English-language news magazine published by Living Media India Limited. It is the most widely circulated magazine in India, with a readership of close to 8 million. In 2014, India Today launched a new online opinion-orientated site called the Daily.

NDTV

New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) is an Indian television media company founded in 1988 by Radhika Roy, a journalist. NDTV started off as a content provider for Doordarshan, producing the show The World This Week in November 1988. In 1998, NDTV started its own 24×7 news channel with STAR and later shifted to its own venture in 2003, launching both the English and Hindi versions of the channel. NDTV's slogan is "Experience. Truth First".
